Color range and how it wears
Fiberon's palette leans toward warm, natural tones with real variation board to board, which is what stops a composite deck reading as a single flat sheet of color.
As with every capped composite, expect a slight settle in the first year and then very little change. Darker boards run warmer in direct sun, the same as any dark surface. If heat is your main concern, AZEK PVC is the cooler answer.
Same framing rules, no shortcuts
Fiberon publishes joist spacing and fastener requirements like everyone else in the category, and they are tighter than what wood decking tolerates.
We frame in pressure-treated lumber at the specified spacing, over footings below the frost line at the depth your village requires, and gap the boards to the manufacturer's figures. The warranty covers the board, not the structure under it, which is why we build the structure the same way regardless of which brand goes on top.

Which Fiberon line should I choose?
It depends on how close people will get to the boards. On a deck you sit on daily, the higher lines with deeper grain are worth the step up. On a large deck where budget is driving the decision, the entry lines perform the same and cost less.
Can Fiberon go on my existing deck frame?
