A Roselle Deck Builder, Not a Franchise
RR Affordable Deck Builders is family owned and based in Roselle. Ryan has been building decks in these towns for over twenty years, and he is still the one who comes out to your estimate.

Twenty years of decks in the same towns
Most of the deck companies bidding on your project drive in from somewhere else. Some are franchises. Some run out of another state entirely. We are neither.
We work out of Roselle, and most of our jobs are within a short drive of it. That is not a marketing line, it is just how the business grew. Ryan built decks here, neighbors saw them, and the work came from there.
It also means we answer the phone. If you have a question halfway through a build, we are minutes away rather than an hour out.
We have deliberately kept the crew our own. Nothing gets handed off to whoever is available that week. It is slower to grow that way and it is the only way we know how to stand behind the work.

Our mission
To give homeowners a dependable, honest building experience, and to lay a foundation of biblical integrity under every deck we build.
Ryan is a Christian, and he runs the company that way on purpose. In practice that means the boring things. We quote what the job actually costs. We tell you when the cheaper repair is the right one. We do the parts nobody inspects the same as the parts they do.
Why Ryan started RR
Ryan spent years building on other people's crews. He wanted to run a job his own way, to a standard he could put his name on, so he started doing it himself.
The name is his and his oldest daughter's. RR is Ryan and Rosalina, who still turns up on site to see what her dad is building.
He has two daughters now, and the plan is to build something they can take on one day. That is a slower way to grow a company than chasing volume, and it is the reason we have kept the crew our own and the promises small enough to keep.
What we do differently
We still build in wood
Most builders around here went composite-only because it is the bigger ticket. We build cedar and pressure-treated too, and for plenty of yards it is the right call.
We will quote you the smaller job
If your frame is sound, we will tell you to re-deck instead of replace. That is a smaller invoice for us. It is also the honest answer, and it is why people call us back.
We do not claim what we cannot document
No manufacturer badges we have not earned, no invented founding year, and no overselling what composite actually does for you. If it is on this site, we can back it up.
Brands we install
- Trex
- TimberTech
- Azek
- Fiberon
- Deckorators
Work our own crew has done
No subcontractors on any of these. Drag the handle to see where each one started.
White paint flaking off the boards and a sagging rail, replaced with warm greige composite and white railings.
A tired stained-wood deck torn out and rebuilt in warm composite with black aluminum railings and angled corners.
About us, answered
How long has RR Affordable Deck Builders been in business?
Ryan has been building decks in DuPage County and the northwest suburbs for over 20 years, and RR now builds 100 to 150 of them a year. Most of that work comes from neighbors who saw the last one, which is the number we would rather be judged on.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. We keep our own crew. The people who quote your deck are the people who build it. That is the whole reason we can stand behind the work, and it means there is one person accountable if something is not right.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes, on every job. We register with your village and carry insurance, and we will hand you proof of both before we start. Illinois does not issue a deck-builder license at state level, so village registration and insurance are the things that actually matter here.
Do you hold a Trex or TimberTech installer badge?
No. We install Trex, TimberTech, AZEK, Fiberon and Deckorators and have for years, but we do not hold a manufacturer badge and will not claim one. What decides how your deck turns out is whether the frame, the spacing and the fasteners are right for this climate, and that is where 20 years actually shows.
What area do you actually cover?
We are based in Roselle and build across DuPage County and the northwest suburbs. We have dedicated pages for 19 towns and we work well beyond them. If you are not sure whether we reach you, call (630) 523-8543 and we will tell you straight.
